Brief Profile

Dr. Sreenivasa Reddy completed his doctoral degree in Biochemistry in 2009, focusing on identifying novel therapeutics derived from natural sources for insulin resistance. Subsequently, his postdoctoral research centered around exploring the involvement of the Ubiquitin Proteasome System and Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) Stress in diabetes and obesity-related complications. He worked on proteasome and ER stress inhibitors in diabetic retinopathy, muscle wastage, and neurodegeneration.
Currently, Dr. Reddy's research is predominantly oriented towards Nutrition and dietary-based interventional approaches aimed at preventing and treating age-related and lifestyle-related diseases. The research has a specific focus on understanding the role of nutrition in addressing conditions such as diabetes and obesity. Furthermore, his work involves a comprehensive investigation into the impact and underlying molecular mechanisms of deficiencies in vitamins and minerals on overall health and the development of diseases. This research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the intricate relationship between nutrition and health outcomes.
